How to make a boot-able USB

Making a bootable USB to boot your pc on is no more a big deal. In my post i'll teach you how to make bootable Win7 USB.

Requirements:
  • Your motherboard must have the option to boot on usb. Check it out in BIOS settings.
  • You must have a 4GB Kingston/Hp pendrive. Personally i prefer Hp pendrives for they offer much faster speed. (2GB pendrive for win XP is enough)
  • Software named PowerISO. Download it by clicking HERE.
Procedure:
  1. Run PowerISO from the start menu or from the shortcut created on your desktop.

    2. From the menu bar go to click on File and then Open.

    3. Now browse the location where you have stored the ISO file of Win7 or win XP.

   4. Select the ISO file and click on Open.

  5. Now Click on the Extract button.

    6. Select the pen drive which you want to make bootable.

    7.  Now click on Ok and wait for 5-10 mins, depending on the speed of your system.
    8. When the process completes, you have a bootable Win7 USB.
    9. Restart your system and boot your system on USB.

Installing any operating system from a usb takes very less time  as compared to that taken when booted on an optical drive.
