What is Solid State Disk (SSD)?

Do you know about Solid State Disk (SSD)? SSD is a technology that currently being used in data storage devices especially for server applications and system. This technology uses solid-state memory to store data and commonly composed of either DRAM volatile memory or NAND flash non-volatile memory.

In SSD technology, no parts are moving like the normal hard disks you are currently using. So the data is less fragile and the disk is very silent and smooth.

Other than that, the seek time and the startup time is very fast because SSD does not need to spin up until the rotation speed is achieved. Only hard disks need to spin up to ready state to start its operations.
SSD can access the data randomly in the same time whatever the storage location. It also does not depend on the read/write interface head and imune to strong magnetic fields.
Because of the technology is new, the cost per gigabyte of SSD storage is very high. That is the only downside of SSD as for now. But probably, after a new data storage technology come out, the price for SSD might be cheaper and many people can afford to buy it.

How to Change Programs at Windows Startup

One of the main reasons why your Windows takes so long to boot when you switch it is due to the number of programs that run at system startup and this is the place for you to identify and disable them. In Windows operating systems, certain Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) programs are initiated during startup. Often, users will need to modify the startup process to stop the loading of some TSR programs. A Windows utility program, the System Configuration Utility (msconfig), is provided with each operating system installation. This utility will enable the user to modify the Windows startup process and the programs initiated during this process.

Steps to change programs at windows startup

Click the "Start" button on the Windows desktop.

• Select the "Run" option.

• Type "msconfig" into the Run input box.

• Click "OK." A window with five tabs will appear.

• Click the "Startup" tab. A list of programs with checkboxes will appear.

• Uncheck each unneeded startup program. By using the msconfig utility, changes made to the startup process may be easily reversed.

• Reboot the computer. Windows will now start only the TSR programs specified with the configuration utility.

Copying PS3 Games Explained – How To Make Copies Of Any Game!

If you’re fortunate enough to own a PS3, you may have asked yourself if there’s a way to make copies of games on your computer. We are going to look at exactly how it’s possible to make copies of PS3 games.
When you wish to copy a Playstation 3 disc, you aren’t able to copy it with a everyday burning software. This is because ordinary programs can’t make sense of PS3 discs. This may sound funny, but your computer just can’t make sense of the data on the game disc initially. To be able to let your computer to be able to read the disks you require a specialized game copying piece of software.
There are now companies that have put together specific PS3 game software that makes it manageable for your computer to understand what is on the game. This allows your computer to copy Playstation 3 games with your disc drive.
A quick point – Software companies that develop these kinds of programs intend it for legal copying of Playstation 3 games. If you purchase a PS3 game and you require to make a copy to make a backup, then you are using this software legally. We aren’t promoting any illegal copying of PS3 games..
The program is a snap to use; it is like copying a music disc. When you desire to copy a Playstation 3 disc you put in the game disc, open the software and it will start to start the process.
You just insert the disc in your disc drive and your computer will create a disc image. After this step, when you toss in a blank CD-R or DVD-R, the system will burn the game data to the disk.
When you buy a software package for copying PS3 games, look for a moneyback guarantee. This just gives you a little comfort on the offchance the program isn’t working on your system.
You can find a great program in the $30-$40 range. There are programs that are more, but you don’t need to pay more. The most popular program I’ve seen is far less than $45.
Check out http://www.copyyourgames.com for a risk-free trial of the top rated video game copying program. This website will show you how to copy PS3 games and any other video game disc (XBOX 360, PS3 etc).
